Alpaca

A natural fiber sheared from the hair of the alpaca, a camellike animal native to the Andes Mountains that was domesticated more than 5,000 years ago. The fiber is made into yarn and then woven or knitted into very warm yet lightweight apparel and accessories. Alpaca is considered a fabric of luxury.
